Gain
The gain control adjusts the level of the video signal generated depending
on the lighting and shooting conditions. You can select automatic or
manual gain control.
Automatic Gain Control (AGC)
Automatically adjusts the gain based on the subject’s brightness.
Set the AGC switch to ON.
•The A icon appears next to the gain value on the screen.
When you set the camcorder to full auto mode (0 45), automatic gain
control will be activated.
Setting the Gain Limit (AGC Limit)
When the AGC switch is set to ON, you can activate the gain limit to
prevent the camcorder from setting a level higher than a preset limit
between 3 dB and 18 dB.
1 Open the [AGC Limit] submenu.
[l Camera Setup] [AGC Limit]
2 Select the desired level and then press SET.
Available Gain Limits
NOTES
When you set the camcorder to full auto mode (0 45), [AGC Limit] will
be set to [Off/21 dB].
