Using Optional Conversion Lenses
Using Optional Conversion Lenses
Attaching the optional TL-H58 Tele-converter increases the focal length of
the camcorder by a factor of approximately 1.5. Attaching the optional
WD-H58W Wide-converter decreases the focal length by a factor of
approximately 0.8. When you attach a conversion lens, perform the
procedure below to optimize the autofocus and minimum object distance
for the particular lens.
1 Open the [Conversion Lens] submenu.
[l Camera Setup] [Conversion Lens]
2 Select [TL-H58] or [WD-H58W] and then press SET.
If the autofocus is set to Instant AF or Medium AF, it will change to Normal AF.
The minimum object distance throughout the entire zoom range will be approximately 130 cm (4.3 ft) when
using the tele-converter and approximately 40 cm (1.3 ft) when using the wide-converter.
Select [Off] if you do not intend to use a conversion lens.
NOTES
If you set an assignable button to [TL-H58] or [WD-H58W] (0 97), you can press the button to optimize the
settings for the selected conversion lens.
Vignetting may occur when taking wide angle shots with a tele-converter.
The approximate subject distance displayed on the screen will change depending on the [Conversion Lens]
setting. If you are not using a conversion lens, select [Off].
