Caution
Never format the recorder from the PC.
Upon formatting, all existing data including files
for which Erase Lock was set and read-only files
are lost.
A file recorded after formatting may be named
[0001].
To format the setting of each function, conduct
[Reset Settings]. (
P.111).
When inserting an SD card into the recorder,
always check whether the recording medium to
be operated is [Internal memory] or [SD card]
(
P.107).
Check the remaining battery level beforehand in
order to avoid running out of the battery during
the process. In addition, several tens of seconds
may pass before the process completes. Avoid
conducting the following operations during
processing. The data may be destroyed.

When the recording medium is [
SD card],
removing the SD card during processing.
When the SD card is formatted using the
recorder, the SD card will be the quick format.
[Format] does not completely delete the data in
the SD card. It only updates the file management
information. When transferring or discarding the
recorder, be careful that data is not leaked from
the SD card. It is recommended to destroy the
SD card before discarding the recorder.
