Label Name and Description
8 HP ePrint button and light. Press to turn on the HP ePrint function and print an information
page. The light indicates whether the printer is connected to an HP ePrint server.
9 Wireless button and light. Press to turn the wireless network feature on or off. The button is
lit when the wireless network is on.
10 Ethernet network icon. Shows that an Ethernet network connection exists.
11 Wireless network icon. Shows that a wireless network connection exists.
12 Ink cartridge information icons. Displays ink cartridge information, including fill levels.
NOTE: Ink level warnings and indicators provide estimates for planning purposes only. When
you receive a low on ink message, consider having a replacement cartridge available to avoid
possible printing delays. You do not need to replace cartridges until prompted to do so.
Change printer settings
If the printer is connected to a computer, you can change the printer settings using HP
software tools available on your computer — such as the HP printer software, HP Utility
(Mac OS X), or the EWS. For more information about these tools, see
Printer
management tools.
Print reports
Use the control panel to print the following reports for the printer.
Printer status report. Press and hold the
(Cancel) button for three seconds.
Network configuration page and Wireless network test page. Press and hold the
(Resume) button, and then press the (Wireless) button.
Demo page. Press and hold the
(Resume) button for three seconds.
Finding the printer model number
In addition to the model name that appears on the front of the printer, the printer has
a specific model number. You can use this number when obtaining support and to help
determine which supplies or accessories are available for your printer.
The model number is printed on a label located near the ink-cartridge access door.
